Terrible Service


SouthSeas Pleantation is a beautiful resort community in Captiva, Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. I recently stayed 5 days there this September.I drove all night and arrived at the Plantation at 12 am. To mu disappointment the gentltmen who checked me in was not friendly and unhelpful. After check in I arrived at my condo only find there are no lights in the garage, stairs or hallways...I could not even seen my hand in front of my face it was so dark. I called the front desk and spoke to the same person who checked me in to tell him of the problem ( we had a lot of things to carry up 2 flights of stairs from the garage) the front desk representative replied "sorry there is nothing I can do!!!" I asked him if he could send security he replied " no" I asked for a flashlight, or so help of any kind, he repleied "sorry there is nothing I do" So my friend and I are left with our 2 children and 8 trips from the car to the condo in the dark to fend for ourselves. I fell and my friend stubbed her toe. I called the front desk again and asked to speak to a manager he said that there was no manager there. I asked if he could have a manager call in the morning he said and he would let the proper people know of the black out. He never told anyone and no one from management called me. The next around 5pm I called again and spoke to anothe front desk representative and she finally was able to get a manager to call me at 8pm. As the night time approaches I noticed the lights were yet again not on. Come to find out the person who checked me in did not call maitance or security. The women I spoke to late the next day made a phone call and had the lights turned on.....now how hard was that?? It should not take 10 phones call and 2 days to get something done and a manger to call..who by the way was completely unhelpful. 2 thumbs down.
